I read somewhere about putting mite powder in the dust bath. This sounds not a bad idea as long as the dust bath is indoors and ofcourse The chickens do all the work. I am not sure whether to use a repellent or an insecticide tho I bought some duramitex off ebay £12 a bottle I got 2 but the last lot i seen was up to £19 each Allanp

you can use ivermectin spot on for all mites/fleas, as with all parasites repeat the treatment in 3 weeks. you can get proprietary drops for use in small birds and pigeons but can also use cattle/sheep pour ons if you know anyone who has any spare

Use Ivermectin 0.8%. 1 drop per 500kg of body weight.
I use it for all my birds, Rabbits, Ferrets. All done and I know all have been treated and have had the correct dose as I weigh as I go. Great for external and internal paracites.
