I have a Cotswold Cockerel and a few unrelated Cotswold chicks - currently about 10 weeks old. All seem true to type (I hope!). I also have some older Cream Legbars (and white leghorns) and, from what I can see, these Cotswolds were bred from a combination of white leghorns, auracana's and cream legbars. I have been advised to cross the Cotswold Cockerel with the Cream legbars and also the white legbars but not the Cotswold chickens (ie when they are old enough), but I cannot find a good reason why not. I may try them anyway, but ...has anyone any information or comments please?
I am having difficulty in finding good info on the subject - although the brief history of the Cotswold and the Cream Legbar is available on the web. Can anyone direct me to any useful sites - especially those without a commercial interest in these birds as most just seem to want to adsvertise!
