If any of you breed Buff leghorns I would be interested in obtaining a pullet breeding cockerel or a pair/trio....I am breeding this colour up and need some good pullet breeding cocks ....I am also interested in obtaining a Silver Duckwing cockerel.....I shall be looking to breed from these birds next year so if you breed/have any of the above 2 colours could you please breed a few more and let me know ...many thanks...

I have a fabulous Silver duckwing cockerel and two of his sisters. I too am wanting to breed, but not from using these for obvious reasons. I have just hatched another brood from fertile eggs (same parents as my SDW's), but sexes aare not yet known. I also have two unrelated Buff lwgbrs - but I haven't crossed them yet. I shall be wanting to swap my Cockerel for a different one to increase the gene pool etc. Have you got anything to offer? I am in Anglesey

Keith Thanks for replying. I have now succesfully hatched 9 silver DW's from a batch of 12 eggs. Sexing is not certain at this stage, but there looks a good mix. I am not certain what you meant in your last reply. I presume you want a picture of the cockerel (?). If that is so, please let me know. I am prepared to let him go, but only in exchange for another one that is as good. Mine is quite young, but big and beautiful and typical of the breed. Terry
