Hi, just looking for some advice, could anyone tell me if this is a leghorn? she (i think) was brought as a mystery chicken but i have been unable to determine her breed as she has yet to lay an egg, she is over 6 months old probably more like 7 or 8 and is not crowing i am guessing at a hen becuase she does not crow and does sit on the nest box like a hen, my other 2 hens (a silkie and a welsummer) are both laying regularly. i have added an link to photo's any advice would be great. Nikki, she appears to be a Leghorn. Her leg and skin color should be yellow and it is hard to tell in the photo. She also looks to be of a commercial line, rather than a show line. She has a white earlobe and single comb, both of smaller size as usually they are bigger and the comb on females fall over (unless a cockerel line). She should be a good layer of white shelled eggs of medium to large size. She also looks to be a (small) large fowl and not a bantam. If not a Leghorn, she has a high percentage of Leghorn blood in her.I hope that helps you somewhat.
